ANNE'S CORNBREAD DRESSING
                   AND GRAVY

So if you're looking at this page, it must be Thanksgiving.  Hope it's happy!

Corbread Dressing (for 6):

Cornbread   (Baking up one package of the corn muffin stuff is fine.)
7  biscuits  (I've been know to get them at Popeye's)
1  large onion
     lots of salt and pepper
2  tsps. baking powder
2  cans chicken broth
1  whole egg  (I'm not a big fan of eggs in dressing, so I usually leave it out.)

On the previous night, mix the first five ingredients together in a greased baking pan.  Cover with chicken broth.  Let sit overnight in the refrigerator.

Next day, bake at 450 degrees for 40 minutes.  This is the only dish I know of that people like better when it's overcooked, so be sure to overcook just a little bit so you'll have slightly burned edges around the corners.

Turkey Gravy

This recipe would be so much better without the eggs, but that's just me.

1/2 cup flour
      water
   2 cans chicken broth
      turkey giblets
   3 hard-boiled eggs
      salt

Mix flour and water into loose paste.  Add broth, giblets and eggs.  Salt to taste.
